This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Oversee the submission, evaluation, and approval process of child care fund applications from states, territories, and tribes, which includes preparing, reviewing, and managing correspondence to grantees to assess their performance and compliance with federal regulations as a regional liaison for designated cycles.
• Develop guidance, technical assistance resources, and other training materials to facilitate oversight of grantee implementation and administrative activities.
• Conduct training sessions for staff and grantees.
• Provide briefings and lead meetings and webinars for staff, leadership, grantees, and other stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze data.
• Offer information and recommendations while preparing, updating, tracking, monitoring, and reporting on the status of designated program operations and grantee implementation, activities, issues, and achievements.
• Manage databases and spreadsheets to collect, compile, and analyze data effectively.
• Formulate recommendations for enhancements in program operations based on data analysis findings.
• Create descriptive background and analytical reports, memoranda, and various written materials addressing significant legislative and operational issues for senior management, supervisors, team leaders, and staff.
• Coordinate, implement, and monitor special projects and initiatives focused on grantees within the Office of Child Care.
• Develop strategies for executing special projects and initiatives, including identifying information and resource needs, key personnel, and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with officials at both the grantee and national levels, as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and keep key personnel informed about the status.
• Evaluate the impact of outcomes and results.
• Collaborate with federal and contract personnel to manage and oversee program operations activities.
• Provide regular reports and updates on project and work statuses to Office of Child Care regional program stakeholders, as directed.
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least SIX (6) years of experience in a policy or oversight role related to child care funding for states, territories, and tribes.
• Proven experience in presenting information to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to analyze, summarize, and compile data and information effectively.
• Capacity to perform detail-oriented tasks.
• Ability to collaborate with staff from diverse backgrounds and skill sets, working as part of a team to enhance processes or systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to respond to internal and external requests.
• Strong prioritization and time-management abilities to manage ongoing responsibilities alongside urgent requests.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
