Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments, establish accurate diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans that cater to each developmental stage.

• Implement effective therapeutic approaches and medication management techniques to treat disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions.

• Create a collaborative treatment atmosphere by educating families about mental health, involving them in the care planning process, and advising on supportive strategies at home.

• Conduct virtual psychiatric consultations, ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience while utilizing technology to maintain regular communication with members and their families.

• Actively engage in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care strategies, and provide consultative assistance to fellow team members for comprehensive member care.

• Keep precise and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Utilize data analytics to evaluate outcomes and enhance care quality continuously.

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and quality standards, participate in ongoing professional development, and uphold ethical, patient-centered care practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.

• Experience in providing telehealth therapy services within a virtual setting (video and teletherapy) is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).

• Proven skills in family engagement and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

• A commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competence in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
