This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the comprehensive AI strategic vision and technical roadmap, ensuring seamless alignment with Omnia’s mission, business objectives, and user requirements.

• Foster Innovation: Convert business goals into tangible, scalable, AI-enhanced platform functionalities.

• Cultivate a World-Class Culture: Lead and mentor the engineering and AI/ML teams, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

• Design, construct, and continuously enhance Omnia’s cloud-native technical architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), ensuring it is modular, secure, and highly scalable.

• Direct the selection and management of the complete technology stack, opting for optimal frameworks, tools, and infrastructure that enable rapid development and robust deployment.

• Architect and supervise a modern DevOps strategy, which includes automated CI/CD pipelines, real-time monitoring, and cost-optimized infrastructure management.

• Oversee the entire model development lifecycle, from defining data strategies (sourcing, preprocessing, labeling) to constructing, testing, and deploying production-ready models.

• Implement and uphold cutting-edge MLOps practices, including CI/CD for machine learning, automated monitoring, model versioning, and retraining pipelines.

• Define and manage the data compliance and governance framework, ensuring the platform strictly adheres to GDPR, HIPAA, applicable data regulations, and data ethics principles.

• Proven success in defining AI/ML strategy and architecting complex, cloud-native systems from inception.

• A solid track record of translating high-level business objectives into robust software architecture and scalable technical roadmaps.

• Experience in designing and implementing custom machine learning frameworks that serve as the backbone for an intelligent, data-driven product.

• Expert-level proficiency in a relevant tech stack for AI-driven applications (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and comprehensive familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Hands-on experience in deploying modern MLOps pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, monitoring, and retraining of machine learning models.

• In-depth, practical understanding of AI governance, performance evaluation frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies for production AI systems.

• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team and convey a clear technical vision to all stakeholders.

• Proven experience leading technical teams in a fast-paced, agile startup or innovation-centric environment, with a relentless focus on execution and quality.

• A strategic mindset, capable of effectively balancing long-term technical debt, innovation, and immediate business priorities.

• A strong understanding of Ethical AI principles and a comprehensive knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance requirements, particularly in regulated environments (GDPR, HIPAA).
