Chief Technology Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the software engineering division at AmeriSave across various product and platform teams.

• Establish engineering standards, architectural direction, and delivery timelines.

• Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and SQL Server database environments, focusing on architecture, cost management, performance optimization, and platform strategy.

• Ensure a consistent system uptime of 99.99% while overseeing monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and engineering practices.

• Oversee the information security posture and security infrastructure, collaborating with Compliance and Risk teams.

• Develop the company’s AI strategy and manage AI-driven platform capabilities, automation, and applied AI/ML initiatives.

• Direct the enterprise networking architecture for data centers, cloud services, and remote/hybrid workforce connectivity.

• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including recovery goals, failover testing, and readiness.

• Guide infrastructure and application capacity planning and forecasting efforts.

• Build, nurture, and retain engineering talent and leadership; oversee development resource allocation and prioritization.

• Collaborate with the CEO, CIO/CISO, and executive leadership to align business strategy with a technology roadmap.

• Represent the Technology department in discussions with the Board and investors.

• Oversee the technology budget, infrastructure expenditures, tools, and staffing needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology.

• More than 5 years in a senior executive technology position, such as CTO or VP of Engineering.

• Ideally, experience within the mortgage sector, a prominent mortgage lender, or a financial services organization.

• Proven experience in leading software engineering teams that develop and sustain proprietary systems.

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and SQL Server at a production level.

• Documented success in maintaining a 99.99% uptime for critical customer-facing systems.

• Strong background in information security management and security infrastructure.

• Familiarity with regulatory and audit requirements in the financial services sector.

• Experience directing applied AI/ML initiatives within a production engineering environment.

• Expertise in enterprise networking, including cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and network security.

• Background in managing disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including failover testing and recovery objectives.

• Experience in infrastructure and application capacity planning.

• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing development resources across a large, multi-team organization.

• Excellent executive presence and communication abilities; capable of presenting to the CEO, Board, and investors.

• Practical experience with Aloha software.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

• Must have high-speed internet for remote work; Cable or Fiber only, with Ethernet connectivity and minimum speeds of 70/30 Mbps.
