Chief Technology Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the organization's technology vision, architectural strategy, and long-term platform roadmap.

• Determine the evolution, scalability, and competitiveness of the platform over time.

• Convert business strategies into technology strategies, system architecture, and critical technical trade-offs.

• Make high-level decisions regarding platform design, modernization, and significant technology investments.

• Oversee the comprehensive system architecture across products and services, ensuring coherence, scalability, and maintainability.

• Propel the long-term evolution of the platform, including strategies for legacy systems and architectural consolidation.

• Shape and develop the engineering organization at the executive level, including leadership frameworks and scalability models.

• Manage technology risks, encompassing system resilience, security architecture, and compliance (SOC2 and relevant standards).

• Embed security and compliance within system design and engineering methodologies.

• Collaborate with Product and Business leadership to ensure alignment of roadmap priorities with technical feasibility and long-term strategy.

• Synchronize engineering investments and capacity with business objectives and growth priorities.

• Supervise system reliability, scalability, and observability strategies at the platform level.

• Assess and advocate for the adoption of emerging technologies (including AI/automation) for strategic benefits.

• Steer the organization's adoption of AI technologies and facilitate the transition to AI-driven products and operations.

• Provide executive-level insights into platform health, risks, and architectural direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership.

• Demonstrated experience as a CTO or a similar executive technology leader in a scaling SaaS or platform organization.

• Proven track record of overseeing architecture and platform evolution in large-scale, production environments.

• Experience in leading and expanding distributed engineering teams during periods of growth and transformation.

• Profound understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and principles of platform engineering.

• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments (e.g., fintech, enterprise SaaS).

• Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to influence CEO and senior leadership decisions.

• Proven capability to operate at the system, architecture, and business strategy levels.

• Strong judgment in balancing speed, scalability, risk, and long-term technical investments.
