This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Serve as the main technical liaison between our engineering teams and client leadership.
• Transform customer specifications, contract scopes, and certification requirements into a coherent, actionable architectural strategy.
• Facilitate architectural discussions, trade studies, and critical technical decisions with customer stakeholders.
• Assist in steering the customer's technical direction while ensuring alignment with program scope and delivery commitments.
• Present the architecture, compliance strategies, and technical risks during customer and executive reviews.
• Define and direct the software architecture for embedded, real-time, high-assurance systems.
• Maintain alignment with essential standards and processes, including DO-178C (DAL A–C), ARP4754A system allocations, safety assessments, hazard mitigation, certification goals, and supporting documentation.
• Propel core architectural decisions regarding modernization strategies, partitioning approaches, interface design, timing and resource management, fault containment, system robustness, and safety-driven design patterns.
• Offer practical architectural guidance across various engineering teams and/or scrum teams.
• Assist in deconstructing requirements into distinct, testable, and implementable components.
• Mentor engineers at all levels in safety-critical development methodologies.
• Lead design reviews, interface evaluations, and technical quality assessments.
• Ensure uniformity in the implementation of solutions across different teams.
• Identify architectural risks proactively and establish mitigation strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in architecting software that complies with DO-178C (preferably with DAL A experience).
• Experience in an engineering services or supplier delivery setting.
• Demonstrated capability to lead software architecture initiatives across multiple teams and programs.
• Strong foundation in embedded software development (C/C++ in avionics-type environments).
• Experience collaborating directly with clients on regulated aerospace projects.
