This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take charge of the commercial strategy for both brands: evaluate performance against the existing growth plan and adjust direction as necessary.
• Facilitate the execution of the growth strategy across both brands, holding full accountability for commercial performance (total revenue figures, growth, year-over-year sales, pricing strategies, etc.).
• Lead two separate sales initiatives concurrently: renewal-timed competitor displacement (Paygate) and inbound/partnering (London & Zurich), each with distinct metrics and rhythms.
• Oversee the marketing department: manage two marketing team members, handle brand positioning, demand generation, and execute go-to-market strategies.
• Negotiate commercial partnerships, including the review of legal contracts and liability terms (direct, consequential, third-party).
• Collaborate with the CPO and CTO to ensure alignment between the product roadmap and commercial opportunities.
• Work with the COO to ensure that operational delivery aligns with sales commitments.
• Partner with the Head of Compliance to ensure that commercial activities adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Represent the commercial viewpoint in broader business strategy discussions at the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level.
• Lead a team of roughly seven members: two sales lines (each encompassing new business and account management), two marketing roles, one business development/telemarketing role split across brands, along with a sales administrator.
• Experience in a regulated industry and managing sales teams within those constraints (experience with the FCA is preferable, though not strictly payments-related).
• Demonstrated history of establishing and evolving commercial strategies, not just executing existing plans.
• Proven ability to manage multiple sales initiatives simultaneously, each with unique metrics and rhythms.
• Experience in executing and shaping commercial strategies over an extended timeframe.
• Documented commercial success in a sales leadership capacity.
• Strong track record in people management.
• Capable of reading and personally negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• A collaborative operating approach, especially with product, operations, and compliance teams.
• Knowledge of Direct Debit or Bacs systems would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• 25 days of annual leave plus an additional day for your birthday or significant celebration.
• Private Health Insurance.
• Life Assurance at four times the base salary.
• Enhanced company pension contribution.
• Personal Travel Insurance.
• Access to the Benefiz benefits platform and a variety of opt-in benefits.
• Electric/Hybrid Vehicle scheme and Cycle to Work scheme.
• A 10-day rolling sick plan that includes extended illness pay.
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and support from Mental Health First Aiders.
