Chief People Officer – Ehrenamtlich

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establishing a clear, scalable, and trustworthy people structure for the entire organization.

• Overall responsibility for recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and retaining volunteers.

• Developing a consistent role and competency model across all areas.

• Designing a motivating, structured onboarding process that quickly integrates new team members.

• Creating transparent processes for collaboration, internal communication, and feedback.

• Actively reaching out to and recruiting new volunteers in close coordination with the leadership team.

• Promoting a respectful, inclusive, and impact-oriented organizational culture.

• Supporting teams with conflict resolution, role clarification, and collaboration.

• Developing measures for long-term motivation, professional development, and team stability.

• Building a network of partners, multipliers, and communities for talent acquisition.

• Collaborating closely with the board and management for strategic personnel planning.

• Experience in human resource management, recruiting, organizational development, or comparable people functions.

• Understanding of the unique aspects of volunteer structures or willingness to quickly acquire knowledge.

• Ability to connect strategic personnel topics with operational implementation.

• High social competence, empathy, and strong communication skills.

• Structured, self-reliant, and proactive working style.

• Passion for engaging, supporting, and empowering individuals in their impact.

• Experience in team building or in growth phases of organizations is advantageous.
