📋 Description

• Establish the vision and strategy for the talent structure and people function.

• Ensure talent acquisition, retention, and development, along with HR administration, aligns with the organization's values and priorities.

• Develop AI-native people systems and processes across recruitment, onboarding, hiring, and performance management.

• Oversee the complete recruitment process, including sourcing, pipeline development, structured assessments, offer construction, and closing.

• Create sourcing strategies and maintain active networks for senior and specialist positions.

• Design structured hiring processes featuring consistent evaluation criteria and interview panels.

• Evaluate candidates' engagement and proficiency with AI tools.

• Mentor hiring managers in effective interviewing, providing calibrated feedback, and making informed decisions.

• Collaborate with leadership on role design, team boundaries, reporting structures, and the sequencing of hires.

• Foster and maintain a high talent density while addressing performance and developmental needs.

• Guide leaders through performance challenges and personnel decisions.

• Convert talent insights into headcount, development investments, and organizational structure decisions.

• Build and support cross-cultural teams while promoting a shared global culture.

• Design systems for onboarding, performance management, and employee development.

• Develop fair and defensible compensation frameworks across various geographies.

• Create dashboards and tools for tracking headcount, attrition, hiring velocity, compensation equity, and team health.

• Source and manage a PEO or EOR, establishing employment contracts, payroll, benefits, and policies for the independent entity.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, safeguarding, codes of conduct, reporting channels, and investigation protocols across operational jurisdictions.

• Manage workforce planning and the people budget in collaboration with the CFO.

• Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and organizational leaders.

• Address sensitive employee situations with discretion and sound judgment.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years in human resources, people operations, or talent roles, including senior leadership experience in a people function.

• Proven experience in building people functions rather than inheriting established processes.

• A track record of designing hiring, performance, or compensation systems from the ground up.

• Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, encompassing sourcing and closing senior hires in competitive or talent-scarce markets.

• Experience working within or across LMIC contexts.

• Knowledge of distributed workforce dynamics, variability in labor laws, compensation equity across geographies, and cultural nuances in feedback and performance discussions.

• Credibility with senior leaders and experience managing sensitive situations.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently build tools and analyze data.

• Curiosity and creativity with AI tools, coupled with a testing mindset and a desire to experiment with emerging technologies.

• Capability to assess candidates' AI fluency through personal practice.

• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

• Ability to juggle multiple competing deadlines, adjust priorities dynamically, embrace and structure ambiguity, and drive tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience establishing employment infrastructure for new or spinning-out entities is a significant advantage.
