Chief Operating Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of operational processes and drive efficiency throughout the organization.

• Oversee provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and ensure ongoing compliance.

• Maintain all contracts, licenses, and NPI files in an audit-ready state.

• Lead Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle Management, Customer Success, Finance, and Compliance—> Deliver product insights derived from operational data.

• Collaborate with advocates, providers, and payers to swiftly address bottlenecks.

• Establish operational priorities in alignment with the founding team.

• Create and document repeatable workflows for billing, scheduling, and intake processes.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and resolve them promptly.

• Monitor patient and partner interactions to guarantee a high-quality, consistent experience.

• Ensure follow-up on missed calls, delayed responses, or handoff issues.

• Track key performance indicators related to credentialing, throughput, and patient satisfaction.

• Produce investor-facing reports and operational narratives for board meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare operations within a startup, clinic, or provider network.

• You are embracing AI technology. Traditional approaches will not suffice.

• You are data-driven, capable of assessing situations honestly and implementing fixes when necessary.

• Direct experience with credentialing or payer enrollment is essential, rather than simply overseeing others in these areas.

• Flourish in environments characterized by high ambiguity and rapid change, with strong prioritization skills.

• Be hands-on and focused on execution—address issues directly and then develop processes to prevent recurrence. This role extends beyond a typical 9 to 5 schedule.

• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, from anxious senior patients to health plan contracting leads.
