This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Take charge of Golden Child's complete supply chain, encompassing ingredient and packaging procurement, supplier management, co-manufacturing, production scheduling, inventory control, cold-chain logistics, fulfillment, and delivery.
• Establish a robust supplier and manufacturing network with sufficient redundancy while upholding quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Manage operational aspects to enhance gross margin and capitalize on opportunities in sourcing, packaging, manufacturing, freight, fulfillment, waste reduction, vendor negotiations, and efficiency improvements.
• Create a strategic plan to enhance unit economics and assess the benefits of outsourcing versus in-house capabilities.
• Develop the manufacturing and operational framework to support substantial growth.
• Oversee co-manufacturing partnerships and assess dedicated capacity, vertical integration, and in-house production options.
• Convert demand forecasts into production and inventory strategies that balance availability, freshness, working capital, and waste management.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Veterinary Nutrition, R&D, and Product teams to transition physical products from concept to market-ready production.
• Manage the operational aspects of commercialization, including sourcing, cost analysis, manufacturing feasibility, packaging, production trials, scaling, and launch readiness.
• Develop and uphold quality and food safety systems throughout the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards as well as relevant regulatory, manufacturing, traceability, and food safety requirements.
• Create scalable systems and processes for forecasting, purchasing, production, inventory management, fulfillment, and supply chain transparency.
• Identify AI-driven initiatives to automate workflows, enhance forecasting and decision-making, and provide real-time business insights.
• Report directly to the CEO and work in collaboration with Culinary, Veterinary Nutrition, Product, Finance, and Growth teams.
• Over 10 years of progressively advanced experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven track record in scaling a high-growth consumer business, preferably in food, beverage, supplements, or another complex CPG sector.
• Extensive experience with manufacturing partners, supplier negotiations, sourcing, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Strong understanding of COGS, gross margin, and unit economics, with a demonstrated history of significant improvements.
• Experience in developing operational systems and processes during periods of rapid growth.
• Familiarity with evaluating or implementing in-house manufacturing or vertical integration is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and systems-thinking skills.
