Chief Information Officer – CIO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a multi-year global strategy for information systems and technology that aligns with institutional priorities.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and the executive leadership team regarding technology, transformation, investment, risk, and innovation.

• Lead and cultivate a distributed global technology team comprising approximately 50 professionals.

• Oversee software engineering, quality assurance, DevOps, and enterprise applications.

• Establish and direct the University’s responsible AI strategy, identifying practical AI applications across academic and administrative areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the fields of information systems and technology.

• Prior experience as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) or in a comparable executive technology leadership position.

• Strong executive influence and adeptness in stakeholder management.

• Proven experience in building and nurturing global technology teams.

• Proficiency in English.

• Background in a customer-facing or B2C environment is considered an advantage.
