This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.
• Establish, guide, and expand high-performing IT and security teams.
• Define and implement the company's IT and technology strategy in alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to Finansinspektionen regulations, DORA, GDPR, EBA Guidelines on ICT and security risk management, as well as Swedish cybersecurity requirements.
• Oversee IT governance, information security, infrastructure, and software development functions as they evolve.
• Manage IT budgeting, procurement, cost optimization, and technology investment planning.
• Supervise cybersecurity strategy, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Ensure robust controls around outsourcing, cloud services, and management of third-party vendors.
• Handle IT audits, regulatory inspections, and remediation efforts.
• Propel digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure a secure and compliant technology environment.
• Develop and sustain data governance and information security frameworks.
• Build and manage foundational IT processes, tools, and controls.
• Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with IT vendors, cloud providers, and software partners.
• Initially oversee day-to-day IT operations, including end-user support, device management, SaaS administration, and workplace IT.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles within banking, fintech, or regulated financial services.
• Strong comprehension of Swedish financial regulations and Finansinspektionen's expectations regarding ICT and operational resilience.
• Experience with DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud governance.
• Demonstrated experience managing IT risk, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of building or scaling IT and security functions in expanding organizations.
• Comfortable operating both strategically and in hands-on roles within fast-growing environments.
• Experience leading large-scale technology transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish is highly desirable.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, COBIT, or equivalent.
• Experience in fintech or digital consumer lending sectors.
• Familiarity with EBA outsourcing guidelines and operational resilience frameworks.
• Strategic executive role with a substantial influence on business growth and resilience.
