Chief Development Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Revise, execute, and oversee a comprehensive multi-channel development strategy aimed at increasing funding from major donors, individual contributors, corporations, foundations, and planned giving.

• Establish and achieve ambitious annual revenue objectives and multi-year fundraising campaign goals.

• Manage performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to continuously assess the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives across all channels.

• Serve as RAINN's representative to donors, prospects, fundraising volunteers, and the general public.

• Oversee and expand a strong major gifts program, actively cultivating, soliciting, and nurturing a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects.

• Identify new potential board members with fundraising capabilities; collaborate closely with current board members to assist them in meeting their give/get targets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of progressive leadership experience in a senior nonprofit development position managing a multi-channel revenue program.

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and oversee successful long-term strategic fundraising initiatives.

• Exceptional management skills with proven success in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing development teams.

• Comfort and proficiency in a technologically advanced fundraising environment, including CRM systems, online giving tools, and data analytics.
