This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of credit professionals responsible for managing risk across a varied lending portfolio, which includes Home Equity products.

• Establish an enterprise-wide credit risk strategy that encompasses originations, pricing, portfolio management, and collections to achieve optimal outcomes for both the lender and investor.

• Chair the Credit Committee and interact directly with the CEO and Board of Directors regarding all credit-related issues.

• Develop and refine proprietary loan products, spearheading risk analysis and consumer feedback to achieve the ideal product/market fit.

• Propel automation initiatives to streamline the process from application to final approval, leveraging technology to eliminate outdated industry inefficiencies.

• Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory entities like the OCC, FRB, and FDIC, ensuring all credit risk issues are in line with changing supervisory expectations.

• Supervise loss forecasting, financial modeling, and stress testing (CCAR) methodologies to deliver insightful analysis of key credit drivers to senior management.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with investors, overseeing pricing, hedging, and warehouse operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• 15–20+ years of experience in credit risk management and portfolio oversight.

• Extensive experience in Mortgage and Home Equity credit risk, including managing LTV/CLTV and valuation models.

• Proven success in a non-"Big Bank" environment for part of your career, flourishing in agile, high-growth, or startup contexts.

• Demonstrated capability to establish a systematic secondary marketing group and address inefficiencies in primary and secondary markets.

• Advanced knowledge of loss forecasting and the development of investment logic to automate credit decision-making.

• Proven history of managing remediation efforts and maintaining strong relationships with federal regulatory agencies.

• Comply with all company security policies and data handling procedures.

• Complete mandatory security awareness training within designated timeframes.

• Timely report any suspected security incidents or suspicious activities to the Security team.
