Chief Compliance Officer / Chief Information Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Sustain and enhance a robust Compliance Management System (CMS) that adheres to relevant federal and state consumer lending laws and regulations (e.g., TILA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP).

• Cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships with our banking partners to ensure continuous compliance with bank oversight requirements and facilitate participation in examinations and audits.

• Supervise licensing, regulatory reporting, and engagements with federal and state regulatory agencies.

• Provide counsel to senior leadership regarding compliance risks, emerging trends, and strategies for risk mitigation.

• Direct compliance training, monitoring, and issue resolution initiatives.

• Take ownership of the design and implementation of our enterprise information security program to safeguard customer and company data.

• Ensure adherence to GLBA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and other relevant data security standards.

• Formulate and enforce policies, procedures, and controls pertaining to data privacy, cybersecurity, and incident response.

• Oversee vendor due diligence and manage third-party risks concerning information security.

• Provide regular updates to executive leadership and the Board regarding the status of information security.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of advancing leadership experience in compliance and/or information security within the consumer lending sector.

• In-depth understanding of the bank partnership lending model and the management of bank sponsor relationships.

• Practical experience with multi-state lending operations and associated regulatory obligations.

• Demonstrated capability to lead, develop, and expand compliance and security programs in a fast-paced growth environment.

• Excellent communication skills; adept at interacting with regulators, banking partners, auditors, and legal advisors.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; JD, CIPP, CISSP, or other pertinent certifications are advantageous.
