This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Development and growth of business in the Benelux region (with an emphasis on the Netherlands), Scandinavia, and northwest Germany by acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships.
• Engaging in technical sales discussions (Tech Talks) to uncover customer needs, unmet requirements, and effectively position our CCA product range.
• Converting customer needs into actionable projects, technical application studies, sample requests, and application-technical trials.
• Establishing and actively managing a CRM-supported sales pipeline, which includes stage-gate control, prioritization, and diligent follow-up until a decision is reached.
• Enhancing project-to-order conversion through disciplined opportunity management and strategic use of samples and technical services.
• Conducting regular customer visits and virtual meetings, including preparation of visit reports, forecasting, and continuous upkeep of current CRM data.
• Collaborating closely with application technology, product management, supply chain, and R&D, while providing feedback on market trends, competitor actions, and customer needs.
• A successfully completed degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related natural science, or alternatively a recognized advanced qualification as a certified technician (m/f/d) in paints and coatings.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or closely related roles (such as marketing or product management), with a proven track record of customer success.
• Experience in at least one of the following market sectors: paints and coatings (architectural, decorative, industrial), construction chemicals, printing inks, adhesives, or the sale of specialty additives (defoamers, dispersing agents, thickeners, surface treatment additives, etc.) within these markets; technical experience in these areas is not mandatory but is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in marketing technical products, including providing customer training on correct application methods.
• A friendly and dedicated communication style, with negotiation skills applicable at various hierarchical levels.
• Business-fluent English; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
• A structured, self-driven working style complemented by strong teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel over 50%, including multi-day trips abroad and regular visits to our headquarters in Abstatt.
