This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate existing operational practices, pinpoint performance deficiencies, and deploy top-tier solutions, standardized procedures, and digital/AI-integrated tools.

• Document and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational discipline, and execution of critical tasks.

• Lead or assist in operator standard work, safe start-up/shutdown processes, and shift routines.

• Optimize process control parameters, alarm management, and centerlining.

• Perform waste/loss analyses and devise improvement strategies.

• Ensure adherence to safe working practices, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work protocols, and Management of Change (MOC).

• Promote High Reliability Organization (HRO) and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) behaviors, HAZOP/LOPA reviews, Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), and safety audits.

• Identify operational risks and assist in implementing corrective measures.

• Analyze operational data, historian trends, energy consumption, and production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Develop dashboards and daily/weekly performance reports.

• Quantify the impact of improvements on throughput, yield, energy usage, maintenance, and labor productivity.

• Facilitate visual management, Safety Incident Communication (SIC) boards, and production governance routines.

• Lower operating costs by enhancing run-time, minimizing downtime, and optimizing labor and contractor utilization.

• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring operational challenges and persistent issues.

• Identify opportunities for debottlenecking, minor capital expenditures, and process adjustments.

• Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and engineers to convert recommendations into actionable field tasks.

• Assist in coaching, capability development, and change management initiatives.

• Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and updates on progress.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with plant-level clients through a hands-on approach.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.

• 8–10+ years of experience in the chemical manufacturing sector.

• Practical experience as an Operator, Lead Operator, Panel/Board Operator, Shift Supervisor, or Area/Unit Operations Manager in either batch or continuous chemical processing plants.

• Strong expertise in plant operations, start-up/shutdown activities, operational troubleshooting, shift routines, and maintenance/reliability coordination.

• Experience in supporting turnarounds, shutdowns, and significant maintenance events, encompassing planning, execution, permitting, and safe handover.

• Proven track record of leading or contributing to operational improvement initiatives.

• Demonstrated measurable performance enhancements in safety, reliability, quality, or cost efficiency.

• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP/LOPA, MOC, safe working practices, and operational discipline.

• Knowledge of operator rounds, shift handover processes, control room operations, alarm management, safe operating limits, and performance cadence.

• Working knowledge of various chemical processes including reaction, distillation, crystallization, polymerization, separation, drying, and blending.

• Familiarity with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)/HAZOP, MOC, PSSR, operator training, and safe working protocols.

• Experience with mobile operator rounds, digital logs, electronic SOPs, and visual management systems.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a global, multidisciplinary team.

• Willingness to travel extensively and weekly to client locations.

• Work authorization that does not currently or in the future require U.S. employment visa sponsorship.

• Ability to pass a DISA background check for client projects.
