Chaplain – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Act as a messenger and ambassador of faith, mission, and purpose.

• Engage with companies, employees, and the community in a way that reflects character through personal and spiritual practices.

• Conduct regular visits to company worksites, typically on a weekly basis, to interact with employees and foster relationships based on trust and friendship rooted in Christian faith.

• Visit employees or their immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, or other locations.

• Offer confidential pastoral discussions and referrals for employees and their immediate family members who are facing personal, family, health, grief, parenting, financial, and other life challenges.

• Assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals and provide follow-up grief support.

• Make jail visits to employees and their immediate family members as necessary.

• Deliver notifications of death and serious injuries to families and other employees, offering encouragement to those affected by tragedies.

• Provide post-termination support for laid-off or terminated employees.

• Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate.

• Distribute literature and other resources addressing life issues.

• Represent companies to clients/customers when ministry services are relevant.

• Take part in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and Chaplain Team's role.

• Carry out additional duties and services as requested by company executive leadership with EDO permission and in accordance with the Letter of Agreement.

• Ability to engage professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy among diverse groups.

• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective, cooperative working relationships while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Capacity to make administrative and procedural decisions regarding sensitive, confidential matters.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to maintain emotional stability while managing human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.

• Proficiency in analyzing information to identify and address problems or objectives.

• Capability to propose solutions and resolve issues.

• Skill in interpreting position-related policies and procedures and keeping others informed.

• Proficient in computer applications including Google Suites, Microsoft Office, internet, email, and web-based software.

• Willingness to understand and learn new technology programs.

• Valid state driver's license and minimum required auto insurance in the states where clients are serviced.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
