Chaplain – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Acts as a messenger conveying faith, mission, and purpose.

• Engages with businesses, their staff, and the community in a way that demonstrates character through personal and spiritual practices.

• Conducts regular visits to company sites (typically on a weekly basis) to connect with employees and foster relationships built on trust and friendship guided by Christian faith.

• Visits employees or their immediate family members wherever care can be offered, such as hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, family homes, or other locations.

• May offer confidential pastoral conversations regarding personal issues affecting employees and their immediate family members.

• Provides referral services and coordinates specialized assistance for employees and/or immediate family members with particular needs.

• Collaborates with companies to communicate notifications of death and serious injuries to families and other employees.

• May offer post-termination support for laid-off or terminated employees.

• May facilitate spiritual enrichment activities, although not in a leading role.

• Represents companies to clients/customers in contexts where ministry services are relevant.

• Skills to listen effectively and engage with clients, employees, and their families.

• Spiritual maturity and dedication to a Christian lifestyle along with MCHAPs Ministry values.

• Proven ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and respect among diverse groups.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated capability in analyzing information to identify and address problems or goals.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or other comparable software.

• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and meet state minimum auto insurance requirements (for the state(s) in which clients are serviced).
