CG Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Republic of the Congo.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the VFX Supervisor, producers, artists, and other relevant teams to produce exceptional visual effects.

• Provide clear direction to all CG departments, establish specific objectives, and oversee processes, progress, and outcomes.

• Relay R&D and pipeline requirements to developers effectively.

• Identify, modify, and sustain efficient technical strategies and workflows.

• Engage in the design and execution of the technical and artistic pipeline along with production workflows.

• Ensure tools align with project requirements.

• Mentor Technical Directors in addressing daily challenges and proactively anticipate pipeline tool issues.

• Guarantee that deadlines are adhered to and that departments carry out necessary quality assessments.

• Aid in debugging or optimizing scenes as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in VFX, film, or television.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and project management abilities.

• Proficient CG skills, encompassing modeling, texturing, look development, rigging, and animation.

• Demonstrated experience with complex creatures, from modeling through to final rendering, along with comprehensive knowledge of assets.

• Profound understanding of the technical and creative dimensions of 3D animation production.

• Complete mastery of all phases of 3D production and a solid grasp of the 2D pipeline.

• Proven leadership skills within a team, strong motivational capabilities, and readiness to share expertise.

• Experience in managing teams and delegating tasks effectively.

• Ability to perform under tight deadlines.

• Positive demeanor and team-oriented mindset.

• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong proficiency in Houdini and Maya.

• Good proficiency in Arnold (considered an asset).

• Familiarity with Python (considered an asset).
