Certified Pharmacy Technician, Inbound Phones

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Receive, log, and process verbal prescriptions, clarifications, provider updates, and necessary prescription information in pharmacy systems.

• Ensure orders are accurate, identify any missing or conflicting details, and escalate clinical inquiries or concerns to pharmacists.

• Handle incoming calls from patients, providers, healthcare professionals, and caregivers, providing updates on prescription status, coverage information, and next steps.

• Update, verify, and maintain patient demographics, insurance details, health information, and interaction records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, providers, insurers, fulfillment, operations, and internal teams to address issues related to prescriptions, claims, coverage, and shipments.

• Support patients in accessing life-sustaining medications for rare and/or chronic conditions.

• Input data into computer systems and communicate effectively via phone.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license.

• National pharmacy technician certification.

• Must be a resident of Tennessee.

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

• Proven computer proficiency and accuracy in data entry.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Training hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST.

• Post-training schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. CST.

• Home internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.
