This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through various communication channels, including phone, email, fax, and Telephone Encounter.
• Verify the legitimacy and accuracy of prescription refill requests received, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense prescription refills, following established organizational protocols and procedures.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and comprehensive information.
• Compile and analyze data to monitor key performance indicators related to prescription refill processing, presenting findings to departmental leadership and identifying trends.
• Adhere to assigned schedules and quality metrics, ensuring productivity and efficiency in prescription refill processing.
• Offer administrative support to clinical staff and managers for special projects, studies, and reports related to medication refill programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance workflow efficiency and improve patient care outcomes.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Medical Assistant: must hold certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants or be a Registered Medical Assistant certified by the American Medical Technologists.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office setting.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
• Strong computer skills (data entry, screen navigation, keyboarding), including experience with Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Records.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook (email) and Word.
• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a reliable internet connection (Satellite and 5G connections are not acceptable).
