Certified Coder – Practice Operations, Certified Professional Coder certification required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluating documentation and choosing the correct procedure and/or diagnosis code for inclusion in billing records

• Verifying that the requirements for teaching physicians are fulfilled and accurately represented in the documentation

• Additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Required: Certified Professional Coder certification

• Experience level and years required will depend on departmental needs

• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding

• Familiarity with government regulations concerning teaching physician documentation and billing practices

• Comprehension of compliance with all government, departmental, and contractual regulations related to coding and billing; as well as provider requirements
