Certified Coder – Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyzes medical record documentation to establish suitable billing codes and required documentation.

• Assigns evaluation and management to the appropriate CPT code and diagnoses to the relevant ICD-9 code.

• Collaborates with physicians to review documentation and obtain signatures for any unsigned dates.

• Supports initiatives aimed at enhancing physician understanding of documentation requirements.

• Compiles case reports and initiates follow-up actions for the billing process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P); AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A, or one of the AAPC specialty-specific coding credentials).

• Prior coding experience or equivalent experience related to an associate’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
