This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ Ensures oncology data is maintained in accordance with state and national standards.
β’ Gathers, analyzes, and interprets health information to support care facilities and accreditation efforts.
β’ Identifies oncology cases that meet eligibility criteria.
β’ Abstracts and reports data following coding, regulatory, and accreditation guidelines at facility, local, state, and national levels.
β’ Implements case identification and coding protocols as required.
β’ Monitors and maintains the quality of abstracts and cancer registry information.
β’ Conducts follow-ups to provide accurate information on recurrences.
β’ Aids Care Sites accreditation programs through precise research and abstraction of diagnostic, treatment, and disease status.
β’ Engages in real-time and retrospective data reviews.
β’ Responds to data requests and produces reports using the cancer registry database.
β’ Develops tables, graphs, and reports employing appropriate benchmarks.
β’ Shares information in line with professional ethical standards.
β’ Associate's Degree.
β’ Certification as a Tumor Registrar (CTR) is mandatory.
β’ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cancer registry, health information management, or a related health field.
β’ Proficient in various software platforms, including acute and ambulatory EMR, the cancer registry database, and ancillary EMR applications.
