Certification Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Provides strategic direction for MOSA’s certification services to ensure organic certification is accurate, timely, consistent, and compliant.

• Manages certification operations and ensures collaboration to uphold MOSA’s mission, strategic objectives, and dedication to client service.

• Acts as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to organization-wide planning, policy formulation, and strategic decision-making.

• Enhances certification systems, refines processes, supports organizational initiatives, and fosters quality and continuous improvement.

• Supervises departmental staffing, allocation of workloads, and resource planning to guarantee efficient operations and the attainment of organizational objectives.

• Formulates and executes certification strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, biological sciences, environmental science, business administration, public administration, or a related field.

• At least five years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, or professional staff.

• A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in organic certification, regulatory compliance, or a similar field.

• Proven expertise in interpreting and applying USDA National Organic Program regulations.

• Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change, quality enhancement, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Experience in developing organizational performance metrics, certification measurements, and workload management systems.

• Project management experience is preferred.

• Experience in managing remote and geographically dispersed teams is preferred.
