Cement Finisher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Smooth and finish concrete surfaces utilizing the appropriate tools.

• Level and shape freshly poured concrete to guarantee proper slope and surface quality.

• Apply surface treatments to concrete as dictated by the project requirements.

• Monitor the curing process and implement treatments as necessary.

• Repair damaged or worn concrete on existing structures.

• Comply with concrete specifications as outlined in the contract documents.

• Operate finishing equipment effectively.

• Communicate with site supervision to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of the project.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that equipment and tools are properly maintained and stored.

• Report any issues related to concrete quality, equipment, or safety concerns to site supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.

• Demonstrated experience as a Cement Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.

• In-depth knowledge of concrete properties, mixing ratios, and finishing techniques.

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including trowels, floats, screeds, and power trowels.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications accurately.

• Understanding of concrete curing processes and surface treatments.

• Strong attention to detail with the capability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

• Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
