Category Procurement Lead – Indirect, Facilities Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and oversee sourcing strategies that align with the overall objectives of procurement.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to recognize their requirements, offer insights, and provide procurement solutions.

• Lead sourcing initiatives, which include supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management.

• Cultivate supplier relationships to enhance performance, quality, and long-term value.

• Evaluate market trends, cost factors, and supplier environments to guide decision-making.

• Initiate cost-saving measures and establish a sustainable savings pipeline.

• Assist in consolidating expenditures and optimizing supplier portfolios across Europe.

• Ensure contracts are thoroughly reviewed, validated, and compliant in partnership with legal teams.

• Keep precise category data, conduct cost analyses, and track performance metrics.

• Spot opportunities for innovation, standardization, and enhancements in processes.

• Contribute to risk management strategies to ensure supply continuity and maintain competition.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of pertinent experience in procurement or category management, ideally within indirect categories such as facility services.

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree is required, with a preference for candidates certified or actively pursuing certification in CIPS/NEVI or an equivalent qualification.

• Familiarity with both Soft and Hard facility services (e.g., waste management, janitorial services, office supplies, PPE & uniforms, building maintenance, safety, quality services).

• Capability to formulate and implement sourcing strategies while managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Proficient in reviewing various contracts, including Waste and Cleaning, from both commercial and legal viewpoints.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management, demonstrating the ability to collaborate, influence, and build trust effectively.

• Analytical proficiency to interpret data, recognize trends, and support informed decision-making.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for engaging with a variety of audiences.
