This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Collaborate with the Sourcing Centers of Excellence team to implement category strategies.
• Engage with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment of category strategies with business goals.
• Formulate extensive category strategies that foster long-term value creation.
• Provide regular updates on category performance, strategic initiatives, and market developments.
• Actively participate in value analysis team meetings and initiatives.
• Quantify and achieve savings targets for assigned categories.
• Conduct reviews of supplier performance and manage supplier scorecards.
• Identify potential supplier risks and develop plans for supply assurance.
• Perform market research to analyze industry trends and competitive dynamics.
• Assess new technologies, item-add requests, and products.
• Create a pipeline of opportunities with a total-cost-of-ownership approach.
• Deliver data-driven insights to enhance clinical and financial outcomes.
• Develop tools and processes to optimize contract administration and governance.
• Ensure that desired KPIs are included in contracts and effectively implemented within the relevant service lines.
• Manage contracts within the category portfolio, including tracking expiration dates and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Prioritize the category portfolio for the next 12–18 months and publish categories to the sourcing calendar.
• Collaborate with Control Tower, Field Logistics, Operations, Facility Leaders, and Regional Leaders on implementation and rationalization initiatives.
• At least 3 years of experience in supply chain or a relevant healthcare qualification.
• Proven experience in overseeing mid-level, semi-complex projects while managing communications, stakeholder engagement, and risk.
• Background in category management, strategic sourcing, or a comparable role in healthcare.
• Familiarity with strategic sourcing, supply chain purchasing, contracting strategies, supplier relationship management, and large-scale procurement operations.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and promote collaboration within high-performance teams.
• Preferred experience in the perioperative area.
• Experience in leveraging GPO and completing vendor RFP and GPO contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A Master’s or advanced degree or professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS is preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of healthcare products.
• Experience in utilizing GPO contracts as part of the category strategy.
• Background in supply chain procurement, including sourcing, contracting, and purchasing.
• Familiarity with strategic eProcurement platforms, including eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Supplier Performance Management modules.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including reading information, frequent computer usage, verbal communication, hearing, and manual dexterity.
