Carrier Sourcing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, recruit, and onboard qualified carriers and owner-operators to facilitate business expansion.

• Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with carriers throughout Canada and the United States.

• Negotiate transportation rates while balancing profitability, capacity, and service demands.

• Develop and enhance Charger Logistics' carrier network through proactive outreach and relationship management.

• Ensure all carriers adhere to company, safety, insurance, and compliance standards.

• Monitor carrier performance and address any operational or service-related issues.

• Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, and Sales teams to determine capacity needs and secure carrier coverage.

• Utilize load boards, market intelligence, and industry resources to discover new carrier opportunities.

• Track market trends, capacity changes, and pricing variations to inform procurement decisions.

• Maintain precise carrier records and documentation within internal systems.

• Support carrier retention strategies and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Carrier Development, Carrier Sales, Carrier Procurement, Freight Brokerage, Logistics, or Transportation Operations.

• Strong skills in negotiation and relationship management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to multitask and excel in a dynamic environment.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and load boards.

• Preferred: Background in asset-based transportation, freight brokerage, or third-party logistics (3PL).

• Preferred: Familiarity with TL, LTL, Reefer, Cross-Border, and Dedicated transportation services.

• Preferred: Understanding of carrier compliance and transportation regulations.
