This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.
• Develop the mid-term strategy for category growth, encompassing targets, assortment priorities, and specific opportunities for growth within the category.
• Collaborate with business developers and account managers to identify and address assortment gaps across various subcategories, brands, and top-selling products.
• Evaluate category performance, stock levels, and overall appeal; initiate sourcing and commercial actions to enhance performance.
• Focus on enhancing the on-site category experience, product presentation, and customer journey in partnership with the product team, utilizing competitor insights and customer data.
• Streamline processes to allocate more time for insights and recommendations.
• Serve as the category expert and primary contact for internal teams.
• Report to the Category Management Team Lead and collaborate closely with the Head of New Categories.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in category management or commercial analytics, preferably within a fast-paced e-commerce or marketplace setting.
• Highly analytical and methodical, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and prioritized initiatives.
• Strong commercial insight and comprehension of marketplace supply and demand dynamics.
• Proven experience in project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Possess a growth mindset; determined, proactive, and adept at problem-solving.
• Advocate for AI, leveraging the latest tools and technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Nice to have: experience in Home & Garden, Sports, or Kids categories.
• Nice to have: proficiency in working with data beyond dashboards, such as Python and/or SQL.
