Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the complete tendering, negotiation, and contract award processes within your categories.

• Achieving annual savings targets while enhancing supplier quality and delivery performance.

• Crafting and implementing category strategies aimed at cost reduction, risk mitigation, and innovation promotion.

• Managing sustainability initiatives, including support for SBTi targets.

• Fostering robust stakeholder relationships while ensuring adherence to procurement processes and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement within a category management framework, with a preference for degree holders (CIPS certification is advantageous).

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder tenders with a focus on commercial and quality assessment.

• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence effectively within matrix organizations.

• A proactive, resilient, and improvement-oriented mindset with a strong desire to drive change.

• Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, with experience in the waste industry being highly advantageous.
