This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Become the primary expert in your category.

• Develop a deep understanding of seller and buyer dynamics, community channels, influencers, and product specifics.

• Represent Whatnot as the face for the community of sellers and buyers you engage with.

• Identify and connect with sellers to persuade them to join and expand their business on Whatnot.

• Utilize social media, outreach channels, and in-person events effectively.

• Collaborate with new sellers and strategic partners to create significant business opportunities on Whatnot.

• Design and implement seller growth strategies to drive category expansion.

• Lead various seller marketing initiatives, including offline events and influencer collaborations.

• Apply fundamental data analysis skills (SQL) to extract insights from projects and improve process efficiency.

• Leverage essential data metrics to evaluate category growth, success, and improvement opportunities, fostering continuous development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years experience in sales and/or account management, particularly with top business partners, streamers, or creators.

• You are resourceful and adaptable, thriving in an uncertain environment with minimal guidance.

• Proficient in using Salesforce, AirTable, Sigma, and other tools to effectively manage your accounts.

• Possess strong business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to understand and manipulate data to derive actionable business insights.

• Comfortable with navigating uncertainty and have a strong tendency to explore deeply, solve problems, and adapt quickly in dynamic settings.

• Fluent in English and a native Japanese speaker, with a thorough understanding of Japanese cultural and community dynamics.
