This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Conduct daily cash reconciliations between bank accounts, accounting systems, and internal records across various funds and legal entities.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve cash discrepancies and reconciliation exceptions in accordance with established service level agreements.
• Oversee daily cash transactions, including capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, investment funding, and operational expenses.
• Record and verify cash transactions within the fund accounting platform, ensuring precise general ledger postings.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address outstanding cash discrepancies.
• Assist with quarter-end and year-end closing processes by confirming that all cash activities have been accurately reconciled.
• Support external audits by providing reconciliation assistance, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing reconciliation processes through automation, standardization, and improved operational controls.
• Evaluate existing processes and consider whether AI and automation could optimize them.
• 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately handle financial data.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfort with learning and using accounting software and financial systems.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely during required business hours.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/Sheets (including formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups).
• Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or fund administration platforms is a plus, but not required.
• Background in fund accounting, investment accounting, or financial services is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of partnership accounting or investment fund structures is a plus, but not required.
• An instinct to question current processes and leverage AI and automation to create better solutions.
