This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establishes accountability for collection processes and efforts for Executive Directors and Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders.
• Provides coverage for cash posting responsibilities during short-term or unforeseen absences.
• Collaborates with cluster Executive Directors and/or Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders to deliver training to Cash Posters.
• Develops and sustains positive and cooperative working relationships with Portfolio Billers and Collectors.
• Maintains an in-depth understanding of payor contracts and ensures compliance with contract provisions for collections.
• Keeps a thorough knowledge of government billing regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid, and acts as a resource for agency staff.
• Collaborates with cluster Executive Directors and/or AR Market Leaders, along with Billers/Billing Managers, on payor-related projects in a timely manner.
• Participates in Agency BAM meetings to identify and report on collections received.
• Reviews, researches, and posts various types of funds on a daily basis.
• Prepares cash reports and performs daily reconciliations.
• Addresses discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams.
• Researches and resolves all unidentified cash accounts on a monthly basis.
• Manages automated payment files and addresses exceptions.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in cash posting.
• At least three years of experience in healthcare billing and collections management, ideally within home health and/or hospice operations.
• Proficiency with HCHB is mandatory.
• Experience with Medi-CAL is essential.
• Ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, and exhibit strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
• Proven ability to accurately manage detailed information.
• Capable of working tactfully and collaboratively with colleagues, peers, service center personnel, referral sources, and payers.
