Cash Application Representative II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accept and process incoming payments from customers, clients, or other sources through various methods (e.g., checks, wire transfers, credit card payments)

• Deposit and post any cash or live checks received at the Sterling location

• Manage credit card transactions, including pre-charging, charging, posting, and resolving disputes via multiple methods (e.g., customer self-service portal, dedicated phone line)

• Reach out to customers via phone and email regarding payment applications or credit card concerns

• Collaborate with Credit and Collections teams as well as Sales Executives concerning deposits and customer remittance details

• Conduct bank validation for imports and payments while utilizing the Expert AR platform, including E-Commerce and online stores

• Complete import reconciliations across various ERP systems in partnership with GL, AR, and online stores

• Input rebates and coupons into the system ensuring that the write-off amount is recorded in the GL

• Handle credit card disputes related to payment transactions

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory

• Minimum of 2+ years of direct cash application experience in an office setting

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Excellent communicator and listener in-person, via phone, email, and video conference

• Values curiosity, creativity, inclusive teamwork, and achieving results

• Problem solver who is comfortable making judgment calls on time management

• Enjoys learning through giving, receiving, and responding positively to constructive feedback

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Willing to work overtime when necessary
