This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Assist patients and site personnel in preparing for visits, ensuring authentication, and providing real-time technical support across various care pathways.
β’ Manage incoming requests through the cloud communication platform.
β’ Address non-clinical inquiries while efficiently routing clinical concerns to the appropriate channels.
β’ Facilitate specialist referrals and ensure comprehensive documentation packages are sent to regional health clinics.
β’ Support the scheduling of diagnostic tests and verify their receipt.
β’ Discuss navigation options with patients and direct them as needed.
β’ Provide patients with clear, effective information and resources.
β’ Accurately document all patient and case data in the designated software prior to closing cases.
β’ Maintain objective, detailed, and accurate records of patient interactions.
β’ Safeguard confidential and protected health information.
β’ Adhere to government-mandated regulations and compliance protocols.
β’ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Completion of a college diploma, ideally in Medical Office or Business Administration, from an accredited institution.
β’ Capability to manage multiple tasks while efficiently prioritizing work in an organized manner.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to build effective relationships.
β’ Proficient in conveying factual information and detailed explanations.
β’ Ability to make informed decisions and demonstrate good judgment, discretion, and initiative when handling confidential information and responding to inquiries.
β’ Comfortable using technology and various software applications.
β’ Flexibility to work on weekends and statutory holidays.
β’ Availability for shifts that may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holiday work.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with the Nova Scotia healthcare system (considered an asset).
β’ Experience in a call center or triaging capacity (considered an asset).
β’ Bilingual proficiency in English and French (considered an asset).
β’ Fully remote work environment.
