This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +9 more states.
• Oversee financial diligence for intricate and high-stakes carrier agreements and wholesale transactions within the AMER region.
• Assess pricing structures, margins, regulatory pass-through fees, commitments, payment terms, cash flow implications, and financial risks.
• Develop and analyze deal models and scenarios in response to fluctuating volume, traffic composition, rates, and assumptions.
• Propose deal structures and negotiation parameters.
• Collaborate with Carrier Relations, Routing Operations, and other stakeholders on financial decision-making for deals.
• Document trade-offs and facilitate the progression of deals through the approval workflows.
• Raise significant exceptions to executive committees along with actionable recommendations.
• Set up and uphold financial guidelines, approval criteria, and deal analysis methodologies.
• Convert requirements into CRM, CLM, and enterprise workflow controls.
• Monitor commitments and deal assumptions post-signature while identifying potential exposure.
• Leverage actual performance data to enhance future deal decisions and guidelines.
• Recognize recurring themes, risks, and opportunities in deals to refine policies, processes, and commercial strategies.
• Mentor senior analysts in modeling, financial decision-making, and executive recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Finance Director to build the Carrier Deal Desk.
• Minimum of 8 years in commercial finance, strategic finance, procurement finance, pricing, Deal Desk, or a related analytical role involving complex commercial agreements.
• Proficient financial modeling capabilities.
• Capacity to independently assess supplier economics, validate assumptions, evaluate risks, and propose actionable recommendations.
• Proven experience in leading financial strategies for high-stakes vendor negotiations.
• Background in structuring pricing, volume commitments, cash flow terms, and mitigating atypical commercial risks.
• Proficiency in influencing senior stakeholders and articulating financial trade-offs effectively.
• Experience in establishing analytical standards, financial guidelines, or approval processes.
• Proven track record in mentoring other analysts as a senior individual contributor.
• Solid working knowledge of Salesforce or equivalent workflow systems and enterprise financial systems.
• Familiarity with Oracle is advantageous.
• Experience in telecommunications carriers, CPaaS, wholesale messaging or voice, or carrier relations is strongly desired.
• Spanish or Portuguese language proficiency is beneficial.
