Careers Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a targeted social media outreach strategy focusing on social networks and the military community, and provide a monthly progress report.

• Assist in promoting virtual events as well as events organized by the Blue Star Careers program.

• Create and contribute to marketing and communication materials tailored to specific service branches and audiences.

• Compile and deliver a weekly list of verified career and readiness resources that are relevant to the military community and beneficial to the Blue Star Careers community within the Neighborhood.

• Generate content for the Blue Star Families Community Neighborhood and Media Center, which may include articles, videos, or curated links.

• Engage local employers by sharing insights into the strengths of the branch community and reporting on outreach outcomes.

• Foster organic engagement in discussion forums and virtual groups connected to the Blue Star Careers community.

• Moderate and participate in the Spouseforce community on Facebook to drive traffic to the Neighborhood community.

• Promote Blue Star Careers events across various Facebook communities and social networks where the Blue Star Careers and Neighborhood community can make an impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record in careers/outreach programming and event coordination.

• Ability to effectively handle administrative tasks necessary for program execution, including scheduling, documentation, communication, reporting, and follow-up.

• Strong familiarity with The Blue Star Careers Neighborhood community, Google Suite, Canva, and Zoom.

• Experience in planning and executing events, including logistics and project management.

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with military families, local community members, and key stakeholders.

• Must possess an active Blue Star Careers community profile in the Neighborhood.

• Must have an active LinkedIn profile.
