This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.
• Act as the main contact for consented patients throughout the phases of enrollment, therapy initiation, and ongoing treatment.
• Perform assessments of patient needs to address issues related to coverage, affordability, and access to logistics.
• Facilitate coordination of care among healthcare providers, caregivers, and care locations.
• Ensure accountability for the entire patient journey and proactively address any obstacles.
• Offer field-based expertise regarding reimbursement, coverage pathways, and payer policies impacting Pfizer therapies.
• Advise healthcare providers on prior authorizations, step edits, coding, and requirements specific to payers.
• Escalate and assist in the resolution of reimbursement issues.
• Provide compliant education on reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, hub services, enrollment, and financial assistance programs.
• Formulate and implement access strategies at the account level.
• Identify systemic barriers and enhance workflows to minimize delays in therapy initiation.
• Engage with payer organizations to clarify coverage policies and overcome access challenges.
• Facilitate communication between HCP offices, payers, and patient support initiatives.
• Supply internal stakeholders with insights on payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access barriers.
• Convert field insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams.
• Participate in account planning and collaborative patient-centric access strategies.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or related customer-facing roles, or 9 years with a Master’s, BSN, or RPh.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Access and Reimbursement support position.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Specialty Pharma, ideally within pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sectors, provider/carrier networks, or governmental agencies.
• Required experience in Reimbursement and Access.
• Preferred experience in Endocrinology or the Immunoglobulin sector.
• Strong comprehension of reimbursement, government payment systems, provider/carrier networks, co-pay assistance programs, and specialty policy dynamics within the rare disease community.
• Exceptional skills in communication and presentation.
• Proven strategic planning capabilities and successful execution of plans.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively across internal boundaries while coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Capacity to operate in a highly regulated environment while adhering to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures.
• Proven ability to collaborate with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Training and experience in professional written and verbal business communication.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Any DUI/DWI or impaired-driving citation within the last 7 years will disqualify the candidate.
• Must reside within the geographic area or within 25 miles of territory boundaries.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30%, including air travel, overnight stays, and visits to HCP offices as required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
