This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the management of patient cases, ensuring that all related tasks are completed promptly throughout the patient experience.
• Take ownership of the experience from onboarding to adherence, tailoring support to accommodate the unique needs of each patient and caregiver.
• Recognize and address access and adherence challenges through diligent monitoring of the patient journey.
• Handle challenging conversations with caregivers and manage non-standard access situations effectively.
• Act as the main point of contact for caregivers, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Relay results from benefit investigations and offer guidance on financial assistance programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with senior internal and external partners.
• Work alongside specialty pharmacies to facilitate therapy initiation, shipment, and ongoing adherence support.
• Actively monitor engagement and adherence indicators, intervening when risks are identified.
• Accurately document interactions in Salesforce, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
• Analyze case patterns and provide recommendations to Patient Services leadership.
• A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of case management experience within or supporting pharmaceutical patient support programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy benefit structures, prior authorization workflows, appeal processes, specialty pharmacy operations, and patient assistance program design.
• Experience in engaging with caregivers and families as they navigate treatment for patients.
• Practical experience collaborating with field-based teams (e.g., clinical educators, reimbursement managers) and specialty pharmacies.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and patient support program tools (case management, benefits verification, adherence tracking systems).
• Experience applying business rules for free goods programs and Patient Assistance Program (PAP) eligibility.
• Preferred experience as a Nurse, Medical Assistant, Social Worker, or senior reimbursement specialist.
• Strong preference for experience in supporting CNS therapies.
