Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage high-volume inbound communication from patients and providers through phone, email, chat, and SMS, ensuring prompt responses while upholding accuracy and professionalism.

• Act as the primary contact for patients, addressing inquiries in real-time without unnecessary transfers.

• Accurately schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments, ensuring smooth transitions to GI Providers, Registered Dietitians, and Behavioral Health Providers.

• Address billing and insurance inquiries, clearly articulating benefit designs and cost-sharing in an easily understandable manner for patients.

• Accurately triage clinical questions, handle pharmacy inquiries, and coordinate prescription and refill requests with urgency and meticulous attention to detail.

• Handle challenging interactions with confidence and empathy, ensuring all patient interactions are documented accurately in real-time.

• Proactively identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend enhancements that boost speed and patient satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in remote customer service, with a strong preference for telehealth or digital health backgrounds.

• Proficient in healthcare terminology and comfortable navigating clinical concepts.

• Experience in understanding health insurance processes and confident in explaining benefits and cost-sharing to patients.

• Technically adept with EMR/EHR and CRM systems (such as Salesforce and Athena Health) as well as tools like Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of being both efficient and empathetic.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
