Cardiac Device Specialist – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Deliver patient care by enhancing therapy provided by patients’ cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED).

• Evaluate patient symptoms and interpret heart rhythms.

• Conduct interrogation and advanced reprogramming of cardiac implantable electronic devices.

• Provide direct patient care both in-person and through remote monitoring.

• Collaborate with various CIED brands while adhering to the latest standards.

• Prepare accurate reports on device interrogation and reprogramming for final approval by the Cardiac Electrophysiologist.

• Record relevant clinical information in the electronic health record.

• Maintain annual verified competency for this level of patient care.

• Operate under the oversight of the Cardiac Electrophysiologist.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in electrophysiology.

• Successful completion of a comprehensive cardiac device educational program.

• Certification from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners as an Allied Professional Certified Cardiac Device Specialist, or an equivalent certification.

• Valid Georgia RN license or a multistate license confirmed by the primary source.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.

• Capability to apply knowledge of healthcare and medical procedures effectively.

• Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Ability to engage positively with staff, providers, and patients.

• Proficient time management skills.

• Competence in delegation and team-building.

• Proficiency in communicating and comprehending verbal and written English.

• Capability to leverage technology to enhance clinical care.

• Basic computer skills are necessary.
