This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact person for consented patients throughout their treatment journey, from enrollment to the initiation and continuation of therapy.

• Perform assessments of patient needs, addressing issues related to coverage, affordability, and logistical challenges for consented patients.

• Facilitate care coordination among healthcare providers, caregivers, and care facilities to ensure a seamless and timely progression to therapy for consented patients.

• Take responsibility for the entire patient progression process, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of any barriers.

• Serve as a field-based authority on reimbursement, coverage pathways, and payer policies that affect Pfizer therapies.

• Provide insights on the prior authorization process, including step edits, coding, and requirements specific to payers.

• Assist in resolving reimbursement issues through appropriate escalation and coordination efforts.

• Offer compliant education regarding reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, and resources for patient access.

• Create and implement account-level access strategies aimed at enhancing patient access on a larger scale.

• Engage with payer organizations when necessary to clarify coverage policies and aid in overcoming access challenges.

• Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams to ensure synchronized execution of access strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (or related fields) in customer-facing roles/functions.

• At least 1 year of experience in an Access and Reimbursement support position.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Specialty Pharma, ideally within the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agencies.

• Strong knowledge of Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and an understanding of the Specialty policy dynamics within the Rare Disease Community.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to thrive in a highly regulated environment while complying with stringent company guidelines and procedures.

• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
