This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for patients who have consented, guiding them throughout their treatment journey from enrollment to therapy initiation and continuation.

• Perform assessments of patient needs to address issues related to coverage, affordability, and logistical challenges for those who have consented.

• Assist in the coordination of care among healthcare providers, caregivers, and care sites to ensure a seamless and timely transition to therapy for consented patients.

• Take responsibility for the entire patient progression process, ensuring the proactive identification and resolution of any barriers.

• Serve as a field-based authority on reimbursement, coverage pathways, and payer policies affecting Pfizer therapies.

• Offer guidance on the prior authorization process, including step edits, coding, and specific payer requirements.

• Aid in overcoming reimbursement challenges through appropriate escalation and coordination efforts.

• Provide compliant education on reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, and resources for patient access.

• Create and implement account-level access strategies to enhance patient access on a larger scale.

• Engage with payer organizations to clarify coverage policies and assist in resolving access challenges.

• Supply actionable insights regarding payer trends, reimbursement issues, and access barriers to internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams to ensure cohesive execution of access strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals (or related fields) in customer-facing positions/functions.

• At least 1 year in a role focused on Access and Reimbursement support.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Specialty Pharma, ideally within the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agencies.

• Required experience in Reimbursement and Access, with a preference for knowledge in the Cardiology sector.

• Comprehensive understanding of Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and the Specialty policy dynamics present in the Rare Disease Community.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Proven leadership skills and success in collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

• Must hold a valid US driver’s license and maintain a driving record that complies with company standards.
