Capital Projects Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Creating Class 3 and Class 4 capital cost estimates for projects involving manufacturing, warehousing, and facility expansions.

• Generating comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns across various engineering disciplines.

• Developing, fine-tuning, and managing estimating methodologies and tools for the organization.

• Evaluating engineering drawings, specifications, scope of work documents, bid packages, and contractor/vendor quotes to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, the design team, and project engineers to define and estimate capital projects.

• Presenting estimates to internal stakeholders and leadership with clarity and assurance.

• Traveling to manufacturing and distribution sites (~30%) for project-specific site assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years of combined engineering and cost estimating experience.

• Proven experience with Class 4 estimations for industrial projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline) or in Construction Management.

• Practical experience with industry-standard estimating software.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

• Experience in developing Scope of Work documents and reviewing vendor approvals and contract bid packages.

• Background in project management, including the coordination of cross-functional teams.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. — sponsorship is not available for this position.
