📋 Description

• The Capital Development Manager plays a crucial role in advancing LCSNW's strategic growth by designing and coordinating fundraising strategies that support facilities, housing, infrastructure, and other capital initiatives across the organization.

• Reporting directly to the Chief Advancement Officer, this position aids in coordinating, securing, and stewarding philanthropic and institutional investments that enhance service capacity and promote organizational sustainability.

• By leading capital campaigns, developing enterprise funding strategies, collaborating with regional advancement teams, and engaging strategically with donors, this role supports successful capital projects and enhances the organization's capacity for future growth and community impact.

• Formulate and assist in executing enterprise-wide capital fundraising strategies and campaign plans that propel organizational capital projects and strategic initiatives forward.

• Collaborate with Regional Advancement Managers, grant writers, shared services, and program leaders to synchronize capital funding efforts and create collaborative donor engagement strategies.

• Research, identify, and seek out capital funding opportunities from philanthropic, corporate, government, and community sources.

• Build, solicit, and nurture relationships with a strategic portfolio of donors, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding partners to secure capital investments.

• Oversee capital campaign activities, providing leadership, resources, and expertise to bolster fundraising efforts across the organization.

• Monitor fundraising activities, funding commitments, and campaign progress, offering analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance to leadership and advancement partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, public administration, philanthropy, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• A minimum of five years of progressive experience in fundraising, philanthropy, grants, donor relations, capital campaigns, major gifts, or other related revenue-generation roles.

• Proven experience in cultivating, soliciting, and nurturing relationships with donors, foundations, corporate, or community partners.

• Solid understanding of fundraising principles, donor stewardship practices, prospect management, and the planning and implementation of capital campaigns.

• Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, with donors, community partners, staff, and organizational leadership.

• Strong organizational, project management, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

• Intermediate proficiency in technology, including donor database/CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, virtual communication platforms, and fundraising reporting tools.

• Demonstrates resilience, self-awareness, and self-regulation when navigating challenges, conflicts, and obstacles.

• Thrives in a diverse environment and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle.

• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, using a computer, and communicating for extended periods; able to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Regular travel between worksites is necessary for meetings, events, and donor engagements.

• Works in various settings, including LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, outdoor environments in different weather conditions, and faith-based locations such as churches.

• Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and any other job-relevant clearances mandated by the State or program.
