📋 Description

• The Capital Development Manager plays a crucial role in advancing LCSNW's strategic growth by developing and coordinating fundraising strategies that support various capital initiatives, including facilities, housing, and infrastructure across the organization.

• Reporting directly to the Chief Advancement Officer, this position is responsible for coordinating, securing, and managing philanthropic and institutional investments that enhance service capacity and ensure organizational sustainability.

• By leading capital campaigns, formulating enterprise funding strategies, collaborating with regional advancement teams, and engaging strategically with donors, the role supports successful capital projects and strengthens the organization's capacity for future growth and community impact.

• Develop and facilitate the implementation of comprehensive capital fundraising strategies and campaign plans that further organizational capital projects and strategic goals.

• Collaborate with Regional Advancement Managers, grant writers, shared services, and program leaders to synchronize capital funding initiatives and establish effective donor engagement strategies.

• Conduct research to identify and pursue capital funding opportunities from philanthropic, corporate, government, and community sources.

• Cultivate, solicit, and nurture relationships with a curated portfolio of donors, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding partners to secure capital investments.

• Oversee capital campaign activities and provide leadership, resources, and expertise to facilitate fundraising efforts throughout the organization.

• Monitor fundraising activities, funding commitments, and campaign progress, offering analysis, recommendations, and strategic insights to leadership and advancement partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, public administration, philanthropy, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• A minimum of five years of progressive experience in fundraising, philanthropy, grants, donor relations, capital campaigns, major gifts, or similar revenue-generation roles.

• Proven experience in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with donors, foundations, corporate partners, or community organizations.

• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship practices, prospect management, and capital campaign planning and execution.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with donors, community partners, staff, and organizational leadership.

• Demonstrated organizational, project management, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

• Intermediate proficiency with technology, including donor database/CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, virtual communication tools, and fundraising reporting software.

• Ability to demonstrate resilience, self-awareness, and self-regulation while navigating challenges, conflicts, and barriers.

• Ability to thrive in a diverse environment; collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance user experiences throughout the service lifecycle.

• Capability to effectively complete tasks in moderately noisy environments.

• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, use a computer, and communicate for extended periods; may occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Willingness to travel between worksites regularly for meetings, events, and donor engagements.

• Experience working in various settings, including LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based environments, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches.

• Must meet LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and any other job-relevant clearances as mandated by the State or program.
