This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Execute cancer registry operations as instructed by the Senior Cancer Registrar, ensuring alignment with facility requirements.
• Comply with State regulations and the guidelines set forth by the Commission on Cancer.
• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit outstanding organizational and communication abilities.
• Always maintain adherence to institutional confidentiality protocols.
• An Associate’s degree or a comparable combination of formal education and experience is required.
• Must hold the Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR®) designation from the National Cancer Registrars Association's (NCRA) Council.
• Candidates with an Associate’s degree or coding program certificate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Candidates with a high school diploma should possess at least 5 years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and tumor registry coding principles (e.g., ICD-0, FORDS, SEER, etc.) is essential.
• In-depth knowledge and advanced education regarding the accreditation standards of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and the Commission on Cancer (COC) are required.
• Previous experience in registry management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.
• Experience with Cancer Registry System (METRIQ or a similar system) is required.
